I’m Dana. Nice to meet you.

  • Hi I’m Dana. I am an AFLW player for the West Coast Eagles and have been playing in the AFLW competition since the inaugural season in 2017. I played the first three seasons of the competition with Fremantle and then made the trip to cross town rivals in 2020 during the expansion of the league! I am currently involved in the Leadership Group and have had some incredible experiences over the years across both teams. Being a trail blazer in women’s football has come with it’s challenges but what it is doing for the future of young women, equal opportunity and inspiring the next generation will always be such a great accomplishment. There is no substitute for hard work, which mindset is something I have always prided myself on with my approach to football and which I see across all the hard working children and families of the SRBF community.

Outside of Football I work as an Occupational Therapist which is one of my other great passions. I love working in the disability sector and in particular helping children with a disability maximise their potential and reach their own goals.

I met the beautiful Saba Rose back in 2018 and was so pleased to be approached to be the ambassador for such a wonderful and inspiring organisation helping many young children’s and families on their journey through adversity and hope for the brightest possible future. The values of the foundation and mine very much align and it has been a pleasure working with and getting to know all of the beautiful individuals involved.

I am also a mother to my gorgeous daughter Alice. She brightens every day for me and I love our busy journey through life together and having her a part of the many thinks I do (so those at SRBF will often see Alice in toe with me at events)!

I look forward to seeing you all at various SRBF events in the future!

    Dana

I’m Shar. Nice to meet you.

  • I love the community, connection and care that embody TEAM SABA. The common goal of raising awareness for the Saba Rose Button Foundation - and ultimately supporting the little legends of the SRBF along with their families - is a wonderful privilege. It has been amazing to see the growth of the foundation over the years and to witness the amazing impact that the SRBF has had in providing opportunities for these incredible kids.

I’m delighted to be a part of this terrific initiative that not only provides a fundraising avenue for the Saba Rose Button Foundation, but also provides a platform for individuals or families to set and achieve their own movement goals.

I love seeing people excited about or inspired in their exercise, fitness and general health.

I encourage people to articulate their activity goals, to plan each week with movement as a priority (not an afterthought) and to recruit some like minded folk to enjoy the journey with.

I’m Madison. Nice to meet you.

  • ” Team Saba is not just a team, we are an inclusive family, supporting and encouraging not just individuals but families to live their best lives. We love being connected to a community that cares for others and gives us that little extra MAY-tivation at the same time. All while helping others by raising funds to support someone else to live their best life.

When I was young physical exercise was a form of therapy for me. I have grown to love the feeling of freedom and movement that I have gained from physical exercise. MAY-tivation gives everyone the chance to experience the enjoyment of physical activities regardless of the individual’s ability. Whichever way you choose to participate or who you choose to participate with, it encourages movement in a fun and inclusive way.

I am encouraging everyone to just get moving, explore the feeling of movement whether it’s a walk, a jog, a cycle, a swim or wheel. Let MAY-tivation be the start – sometimes that little extra MAY-tivation is all that you need to get moving and feel alive.”
