“This is my second solo swim to Rottnest. I did my first swim 9 years ago and a big motivation back then was to prove to myself that I could swim that far. When I decided to swim for a second time, initially my motivation was to improve my fitness. But when I started training it didn’t seem enough and I saw this challenge could be more meaningful than just another fitness goal.
I saw the request to join TEAM SABA on the Rottnest Swim Facebook discussion group and was keen to contribute, and hopefully make a positive impact on other people’s lives. The Saba Rose Button Foundation resonated with me because being a father of three very active children, I appreciate the impact having children can have on your own life, but can only imagine how parents & carers manage when a child has extra needs.
Looking forward to being part of TEAM SABA!”
We are so thankful to Sefton wanting to be a part of TEAM SABA. To support Sefton and the rest of our TEAM SABA crew – donate here: https://chuffed.org/project/team-saba-rotto-swim-2021
